We are looking for someone passionate about sustainability, circularity, and material science to help run our busy materials exchange hub in north west London.

Grow a network of individuals and businesses who want to exchange materials, and matchmake them with each other via Instagram and the Re-Made website
Manage a 330 sq ft workshop and shop-front to display, process and store a variety of wood, metal, plastic, fabric, clay and other heavy/bulky materials
Explore the potential of material processing and repurposing to help create valuable products and develop income streams
Make occasional deliveries of materials by e-van and/or cargo bike around North West London
Essential Skills and Experience
Strong communication skills, written and verbal
Highly organised, ability to manage a website and database of customers
Experience running social media accounts
Proactive and creative and able to bring in new commercial opportunities
Good manual handling skills (capable of stacking heavy timber on shelves)
Full clean driving Licence
Helpful, but not essential:
Knowledge of sustainability, waste streams, carbon quantities reporting, etc
Knowledge of product design
Experience working in a busy workshop environment
Experience with common hand and power tools.
Salary and hours
The role requires 16-20 hours per week minimum, however there is flexibility. Hours will be agreed with the successful candidate to produce a staffing model that best suits the business needs. (i.e. many film productions can only deliver surplus materials on Friday afternoons or Monday mornings so half-days might be suitable in some cases.)
This is a freelance contract. Paid on an hourly rate no lower than £15ph.
Should further funding be secured, the role will be offered as a permanent contract and with scope to increase the salary.
